OGACHI Welcomes International Visiting Scholar from Taiwan

The Office of Global and Community Health Initiatives (OGACHI) welcomes international visiting research scholar Ching-yu Cheng, PhD, RN, professor for Chang Gung University of Science and Technology in Chiai, Taiwan for a four-month visit. Cheng will be mentored and have a professional development experience under the guidance of Eun-Ok Im.
During her time at DUSON she will:
- Participate in a technology-based study that focuses on developing and providing an informative and coaching/supportive program for women with breast cancer to understand how to design and implement a technology-based program to enhance cancer survivorship of the target population. The learned knowledge about designing and implementing a study using technology-based program will further apply in future research providing informative program(s) for people who may need educational information using technologies.
- Understand how to design and conduct online support groups for the target population. Learn recruitment of participants, encouragement of participating, feedback providing, and management of discussion within the support groups.
- Produce a manuscript about women’s health, online support group, or technology-based research based on research data.
- Develop a research proposal about women’s health, online support group, or technology-based research.
