Oyesanya, Padilla, McGee and Felsman Present at Duke REACH Equity Center Seminars
Several School of Nursing faculty will be presenting for the Duke REACH Equity Center Research Works in Progress (RWIP) Seminars. These bi-monthly lunch seminars highlight health disparities researchers at all levels from across Duke school and departments. They are are first and third Mondays from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Duke Medical Pavillion (DMP) Room 2W96.
Tolu Oyesanya, assistant professor, REACH Equity Career Development awardee, will be presenting October 21 on "Reducing Disparities in the Transition from Hospital to Home for Patients with TBI and their Families."
Iris Padilla, assistant professor, and Karla McGee, clinical instructor, will be presenting on November 4 at an RWIP workshop designed for developing and brainstorming potential research ideas. Padilla's presentation is entitled "Transition of Care Model for Latinos with Type 2 Diabetes," and McGee's presentation is entitled "Using Practicing Clinicians to Inform Health Disparities Education."
Irene Felsman, assistant professor, will be presenting on December 2 at an RWIP workshop entitled "Adapting a Group Health Intervention for Refugee Women to Other Groups."
