Participate in IPEC Food Drive
IPEC hosts food drive.
The Durham community needs you! The Duke IPEC Center (Duke Health Interprofessional Education and Care Center) is organizing a friendly competition between our health care programs challenging each program to raise the most amount of goods for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The competition will be between DUSON, School of Medicine, Duke Physician Assistant Program and Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Donations will be made directly to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Here is a list of most needed items.
This competition will be held for two weeks in total, the weeks of April 19 and of April 26. Donations can be made to your program's specific donation box located behind the piano in the atrium starting on Monday, April 19, at 9 a.m., until Friday, April 30, at 4 p.m. Boxes will be promptly picked up by 5 p.m. that Friday.
Donations should be made while faculty, staff and students are on campus for class or for surveillance testing to minimize on campus gathering. Mask wearing and social distancing must be followed as well as symptom monitoring app competition.
The winning program will be announced Monday, May 3, and receive a prize. One point will be awarded for each item donated and for every dollar donated. For those who would like to make monetary donations, there is also a virtual food drive.
Scoring System:
- 1 donated item = 1 Point
- For every $1 donated to the virtual food drive site = 1 Point
- Please send a screenshot of your donation to your IPEC representative's email (tara.zwart@duke.edu or ramon.lujan@duke.edu).
- If you would like to remain anonymous, in the donation name section, please write your program name
- For every Instagram story = 5 Points
