Participate in Moments to Movement Anniversary, Submissions Due May 20
On May 25, DUSON is planning to join Duke Health in its one-year celebration of Moments to Movement.
As we come upon the anniversary of Moments to Movement, Chancellor Eugene A. Washington has updated the community on the initiatives that were started across the health system to create and/or advance racial, social and health equity. On May 25, DUSON is planning to join Duke Health in its celebration. More details will be provided as they become available.
There are ways you can participate! Marketing and Communications is putting together a social media campaign and a video to help our School join in the celebration. The entire DUSON community (students, faculty, staff and alumni) is invited to participate in both opportunities.
Photo Guidelines
For photos, we ask you take a selfie with an official Moments to Movements sign that asks why you stand for peace ("I stand for peace because __________.") You have two design options from which to choose: Design One; Design Two.
Please make sure to submit the photo in as large and as well-lit of a format as possible.
Video Guidelines
For videos, you will be asked to reflect upon and answer the same question: "I stand for peace because __________." For consistency and ease of our submitters, we ask everyone use Zoom to record your answer. Brigit Carter, associate dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, has provide an example of how submissions should be recorded; view this sample through Zoom.
Submitting, deadlines
All submissions (photos and videos) must be submitted to the DUSON News inbox by the end-of-the-day of Thursday, May 20.
For questions, please email the DUSON News inbox, Stephanie Turner or Drew Buchanan.
