PhD alumna Latefa Dardas recently received a honorable mention for the 2017 AACN Outstanding Dissertation Award. Her dissertation was entitled "A Nationally representative Survey of Depression Symptoms among Jordanian Adolescents: Associations with Depression Stigma, Depression Etiological Beliefs and Likelihood to Seek Help for Depression." 

AACN created this awards program to recognize and showcase outstanding dissertations and final DNP projects completed by students in research- and practice-focused doctoral programs. Many doctoral students are advancing ground-breaking research and practice innovations that are worthy of national recognition and could serve as exemplars for other students to emulate.
