PhD Student Cerbert Awarded Graduate Student Training Enhancement Grant

PhD student Morine Cebert was recently awarded a $1,650 Graduate Student Training Enhancement Grant (GSTEG) from the Office of the Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Studies. GSTEG awards are given to doctoral and master’s students in support of training to acquire skills, knowledge, or experiences that will enhance the approach to their original research.

Cebert will apply her award to attend a full week of courses at the Odum Institute’s Qualitative Research Summer Intensive at UNC-CH in July 2018 and complete an online Nurse Certificate Course in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Cebert’s current research focuses on African American women’s decisions to initiate and continue treatment for primary and secondary infertility. Her faculty mentors are Rosa Gonzalez-Guarda and Eleanor Stevenson.
