PhD Student Hirschey Presents Poster at Oncology Nursing Society Congress, Publishes Article in Journal of Professional Nursing

PhD student Rachel Hirschey is the first author and presenter of a poster at Oncology Nursing Society Congress held in Denver, Colorado, May 3-6. The poster is titled "Evidence Based Practice Collaboration between Nurse Scientists and Nurse Clinicians." Co-authors include: Jessica Meadows, BSN, RN OCN, Bernadette Labriola, MSN, RN, FNP, Pauline Myers, MSN, RN, and Laura Houchin, MSN, RN, AOCNS, from Duke Cancer Institute and Deborah Allen, PhD, RN, CNS, FNP-BC, AOCNP from DUSON. The project was funded by the Jonas Nursing Foundation and the Duke Cancer Institute.

She is also co-author of a manuscript titled "Partnership for Development: A Peer Mentorship Model for PhD Students" in the Journal of Professional Nursing. Co-authors include: PhD students Allison Lewinski, Tara Mann and Ashley Vance; PhD alumnus Dennis Flores and Duke faculty member Janet Prvu Bettger.
