PhD student Jewel Scott was recently awarded the Trudy Bush Fellowship Award for Cardiovascular Disease Research in Women's Health at the American Heart Association Epidemilogy & Lifestyle Scientific Sessions in Phoenix, AZ. The title of her presentation was "Social Networks are Associated with Ideal Cardiovascular Health in Young Adult Black Females." Co-authors include Susan Silva, associate professor; and Leigh Ann Simmons.
