PhD Students Cebert and Scott Present at North Carolina NAHSE Chapter Event

NAHSE Chapter FlyerPhD students Morine Cebert and Jewel Scott will be speaking on a panel for the North Carolina Chapter of the National Association for Health Services Executives. The panel entitled "Maternal and Child Health in the Black Community will take place on September 23, from 2 - 4:30 p.m. in Cary.

Black women in the United States experience unacceptably poor maternal health outcomes, including disproportionately high rates of death related to pregnancy or childbirth. Both societal and health system factors contribute to high rates of poor health outcomes and maternal mortality for Black women, who are more likely to experience barriers to obtaining quality care.
