PhD Students Mansfield and Cebert Named National Clinician Scholars
Lisa Mansfield and Morine Cebert, PhD candidates, have been named members of the 2020-2022 cohort of the National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP). Mansfield will begin her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, on July 1, 2020. She will investigate developing, implementing, and evaluating multi-level interventions addressing social determinants of health, with a focus on reducing disparities in HPV-associated cancers and HPV vaccination among racially and ethnically diverse populations. Cebert will do her fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She will investigate biological, clinical, and sociocultural factors that influence disparities in reproductive endocrinology decision-making among African American women; developing interventions and policy aimed at eliminating barriers to infertility treatment access and utilization.
The National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) is a two-year, interprofessional and interdisciplinary post-doc fellowship program. It is a consortium of six prestigious academic health care research institutions that provide training for doctors and post-doctoral nurses to become change agents for driving policy-relevant research and partnerships to improve health and health care.
