STTI CongressA group of PhD students recently presented their research in podium or poster presentations at the Sigma Theta Tau International Congress in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Michelle Franklin, PhD student, presented “Parental Experiences With Healthcare Transition for Adolescent and Emerging Adult Children With Intellectual Disability.”

Heeyeon Son, PhD student, presented “Concept Analysis of Double-Protection in Parent-Child Communication in Childhood Cancer Context.”

Robyn Wojeck, PhD student, presented “Exploring Self-Efficacy and Pain Trajectories in Systemic Sclerosis.”

Jiepin Cao, PhD student, presented a STT International Rising Stars of Research and Scholarship Invited Student Poster entitled “Intersectionality of Intimate Partner Violence Among Chinese Women: Analysis of Online Forums on Domestic Violence.”

Yufen Lin, PhD student, presented a STT International Rising Stars of Research Invited Student Poster entitled “Symptom Clusters in Patients With Gastric Cancer: A Qualitative Study.”

More than 1,200 nurse researchers, students, clinicians and leaders attended the STT International Nursing Research Congress to learn from evidence-based research presentations.
