Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI) is preparing for the 5th DIHI Innovation Jam. This is a health and healthcare innovation pitch program that will take place on Oct. 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on the 6^th floor of Trent Semans. Duke innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs from across Duke will have an opportunity to pitch their health-related innovations to a team of Duke “investors.” All Duke faculty, staff, trainees and students are encouraged to apply. Applications are due August 17 at 5 p.m. 

DIHI is soliciting ideas that are closer to translation into market and/or commercialization.

Suggested themes for idea submissions include, but are not limited to:

1) Innovative devices

2) Novel use of analytics

3) Digital health/mHealth

They anticipate selecting up to six finalists from their total pool of applicants to present on Oct. 17. Each innovator will have five minutes to pitch their idea to a panel of investors and evaluators, followed by a brief question and answer period.
