Schenita Randolph, assistant professor, was a keynote speaker at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill GlobeMed annual red-tie event. GlobeMed is a national nonprofit organization that partners with and fundraises for grassroots organizations around the world until they achieve self-sustainability. The theme for the event was The Age of Pandemics: Fighting HIV/AIDS Amongst the Threat of COVID-19. Randolph's presentation focused on the "Urgency of Addressing HIV and Racial Discrimination." Other speakers included David Margolis, of UNC- Chapel Hill, and David Wessner, of Davidson College.
