Registration Open for Duke Ear Seeds Drive-Thru

Registration Open for Duke Ear Seeds Drive-Thru

The Active Minds student group is partnering with the Student Success Center and Duke Integrative Medicine to offer two drive-up ear seeds activities on April 10 and 17 at Duke Integrative Medicine, 3475 Erwin Road.

Students, faculty, and staff may sign up for a shift to be seeded by a practitioner. All 150 registered participants will be masked and complete the SymMon app, and practitioners will don face shields for additional protection. Ear seeding will occur out of the participant’s car window or outdoors curbside. The event will take place entirely outside at the Duke Integrative Medicine facility. Participants will be invited to explore the outdoor space but remain socially distanced (optional activity).

The opportunity to host a live event will allow participants to network with practitioners regarding integrative medicine and also spark conversation regarding the potential for integrative credentialing and alternative forms of healing for future patients. The live event creates a deeper sense of community by bringing individuals to the Duke Integrative Medicine grounds, fostering connection across the Duke Health Systems. It will also alleviate hesitancy encountered last semester related to self-application and Zoom fatigue.

Be sure to register.
