Reminder from DUSON Facilities

As the School prepares to enter into another academic year, the DUSON Facilities team wants to remind you of processes for ordering office supplies, toner for desktop printers and more.

  • Office supplies – All requests for special supply orders should be emailed to SON Supplies (supplies@dm.duke.edu) by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.  The requests for special supplies will be included with the large School order, once per week.   Please make sure to include your cost center for special supply orders when sending your request to SON Supplies (supplies@dm.duke.edu).  Please do not email Otissa Turner directly with your requests.  Also, if you use the last supply item in the Service Center, please do not leave notes – simply email SON Supplies (supplies@dm.duke.edu) with the item that is needed. 
  • Toner for desktop printers – will be distributed by CITDL who supports these printers.  Toner can now be obtained from the IT Service Desk during normal operating hours. CITDL will require you to bring them the empty cartridge for a replacement. 
  • Outbound Fed Ex – Faculty or staff will complete the shipping label, use the provided envelope or box, and place in the bin that will be designated for Fed Ex pick-ups.  Fed Ex picks up from DUSON daily, Monday-Friday at 3 pm.  If you have a FedEx package ready to go after 3 pm, please take the item to the nearest FedEx Drop Off location.  There is a FedEx Drop location between the Clipp Building and Hanes House.  Another location is Kinko’s on Ninth Street.  Packages at any “drop off” location will be picked up at 6 pm.
  • Outbound UPS – If you have a package going out under UPS or Ground FedEx, you must inform them you have a package.  They will not pick up the package until notified. 
  • Library materials – The pick-up/drop off location for library materials is now located in the Student Services/Admissions Suite.  The suite is open during normal business hours.  Even though the location is in Student Services/Admission Suite, this service is still a self-service.  The staff in the suite are not responsible for library materials.
