Richard-Eaglin Presented at Heart Disease in Women Meeting

angela richard-eaglin headshotAngela Richard-Eaglin, assistant professor, participated in “Convening on Missed and Delayed Diagnosis of Heart Disease in Women” virtual stakeholder meeting presented by WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, in partnership with the Society for Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM). The invite-only convening brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including women living with heart disease, clinicians, researchers, industry leaders, women’s heart centers and government officials to develop patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR)/comparative effectiveness research (CER) recommendations to effectively address key barriers to timely and accurate diagnosis of heart disease in women. Richard-Eaglin was invited to serve as an expert speaker on the panel entitled "How Race, Gender, and Social Determinants of Health Impact Women’s Care and Diagnostic Quality" that focused on how social determinants of health impact the quality of women’s diagnostic care for heart disease to discuss diversity in health professions education and health equity.
