Angela Richard-Eaglin, assistant professor, published an article/poem entitled "Reflections on the Privilege of Caring" in Nursing 2020. The article highlights the need for nurses to maintain an awareness of their actions and the impact of verbal and nonverbal behaviors on the patients being served. The poem provides perspective from the voice of patients on the receiving end of "perceived" intentional and or unintentional negative behavioral cues.
