Richard-Eaglin Serves as Keynote Speaker for NCNA Retreat

angela richard-eaglin headshotAngela Richard-Eaglin, assistant professor, was the keynote speaker for the North Carolina Nurses Association's (NCNA) Council of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurses 2021 Annual Psych Retreat, Virtual Platform. The goal of the retreat was for nurses to gain knowledge of current issues in the Psychiatric/Mental Health specialty including best practices, new or innovative treatment therapies, and gain an understanding of health inequities that may impact this community. Richard-Eaglin's presentation was entitled "Application of Cultural Intelligence to Combat Health Disparities." The retreat was attended by all nurses interested in psychiatric-mental health service delivery, including APRNs, point-of-care nurses, and students.
