Save the Date: Perinatal Substance Use Disorder - Local Community Impact

On Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m., Sigma Theta Tau International will sponsor Perinatal Substance Use Disorder, a presentation by Hendree Jones, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UNC-Chapel Hill. This interactive event will help nurses at all stages, from pre-licensure to advanced practice, learn tools and strategies to care for pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorder and their infants.

Jones is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Executive Director of UNC-Horizons Program, a substance use disorder treatment program for pregnant and/or parenting women and their children.  This event is also sponsored by Active Minds Nurses for Mental Health Awareness and the Women’s Health Organization.
