Benjamin Smallheer, associate professor, and Danett Cantey, clinical nurse educator, are members of the newly formed Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (IncluDE) committee within the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). The adhoc committee was formed in July but has recently been approved as a permanent committee.

Smallheer serves as the chair of the IncluDE committee. The IncluDE committee was established to support the INACSL membership by fostering diversity, inclusivity, acceptance, and equity within INACSL and the health care simulation community to impact the profession and society.

Danett also serves on the Awards committee for INACSL, and the committee is creating a new Diversity Award that will be awarded for the first time at INACSL’s annual conference in June.
