On April 6, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) will be hosting its Women in Leadership Symposium in Dallas, Texas.

The Women in Leadership Symposium is a one-day gathering for aspiring, new and experienced leaders in healthcare simulation.  Now a partnership between the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL), and the Association for Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE), this exciting symposium promises an interactive day of personal and professional development featuring renowned speakers, vigorous discussion, and relationship-building.

Highlights of this year’s program include keynote speakers Major General Kimberly Siniscalchi and Dr. Jennifer Arnold who will provide unique leadership stories in an interactive and dynamic forum.Simulated scenarios utilizing role play and standardized patients will frame engaging educational sessions designed to help us practice different communication styles and responses during emotionally charged interactions. Finally, we will again utilize the highly effective peer coaching format to help attendees make connections and strengthen the leadership network within healthcare simulation.

Whether you are an alum, a new attendee, a simulationist of any gender, an experienced leader or an aspiring one, this full day symposium is an opportunity to learn, practice and share skills important for any leader. We hope you will be able to join us in Texas for this day of synergy and growth.
