Students Take Over Duke Health Care Education Program's Instagram Accounts This Month

Throughout this month, students from Duke's five health care education programs, including the School of Nursing, will be taking over the programs' separate Instagram accounts.

ipec flyer for instagram takeover Throughout this month, students from Duke's five health care education programs, including the School of Nursing, will be taking over the programs' separate Instagram accounts. The goal is to help bring the clinical setting to students, virtually through social media, and to help supplement the FLIP curriculum that is ongoing with the Duke Health Center for Interprofessional Education and Care (IPEC). Throughout September, information will be posted about each of Duke’s programs, the roles of each profession and a look into the “Day in the Life” of a student clinician in the field. At the end of the week, students will have the chance to ask questions and connect with a student on your home program’s Instagram page to get a more individualized look about what it’s like to collaborate between different professions!

The accounts involved are:

  • @DukePAStudents
  • @DukeDPT
  • @DukeOTD
  • @Dukeu_Nursingschl
  • @DukeMDProgram

The School of Nursing takeover will be the week of September 20. The current schedule is as follows:

  • September 20: ABSN Overview
  • September 21: Advanced Nursing Practice Overview
  • September 22: Nursing Trivia
  • September 23: Day in the Life
  • September 24: Q&A
