Tanabe Presents at NHLBI Annual Sickle Cell Disease Meeting in Maryland

Paula Tanabe recently gave a presentation entitled "The National Heart, Lung and Blood Sickle Cell Disease Implementation Consortium - Introducing the Sickle Cell Disease Implementation Consortium (SCDIC)" at the NHLBI Annual Sickle Cell Disease Meeting in Bethesda, MD. 

The NHLBI Annual Sickle Cell Disease Meeting is a three day meeting that provides a yearly forum for investigators, practitioners and interested health care providers to discuss the process of ongoing clinical trials, hear presentations about new developments in scientific and clinical aspects of SCD and interact with other investigators and NHLBI Program Staff in an informal setting. The 2018 program included six symposia that cover a broad range of topics. There were presentations by NIH program staff on the progress of two major initiatives: The NHLBI Sickle Cell Disease Implementation Consortium and the Cure Sickle Cell Disease Initiative.
