Tanabe Receives NHLBI Award

Congratulations to Paula Tanabe and her entire team who has received an award for her National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) UG3/UH3 proposal entitled “A Comparison of Individualized vs. Weight Based Protocols to Treat Vaso-Occlusive Episodes in Sickle Cell Disease (COMPARE VOE).” This award is for a one-year period (UG3 planning phase) and was awarded at $431,577. At the completion of the UG3 planning phase, she will be required to submit a detailed transition request for the UH3 clinical trial implementation phase.
