Tech Tips: Do Not Disturb
January 14, 2020
DO NOT DISTURB.
You’ve probably used it on your phone, but did you know it’s available on your Windows computer? It does the same thing – it postpones notifications and interruptions so you can work undisturbed.
It’s called Focus Assist, and you can switch it on from the Action Center (down in the lower right-hand corner of your screen). It has three modes:
-
Priority Only – Only receive notifications from your configurable priority list
-
Alarms Only – Hide all notifications except for alarms
-
Off – Get all notifications from your apps and contacts
More advanced users can provide automatic rules for time of day, game playing and other settings.
Try it next time you have that really important assignment.
