Tech Tips: Put Duke on Your Phone

DukeMobile is a convenient way to bring Duke to your mobile device.  Engineers continue to develop new features - there are now over 20 services for faculty, students and staff to help navigate your way around our great university.   

What’s available in DukeMobile?

DukeMobile provides easy access to the most popular tech services for all Duke users, including DukeCard, Sakai and ePrint.

The latest version of this app opens up to an interactive map of the University, making it easy to explore and quickly find what you’re looking for.  The menu is in the upper-left in the search bar.

Complete list of DukeMobile services:

  • Directory– Look up Duke faculty, staff and students.  You can also easily store contacts and directly access the email/phone on your device.

  • Places – Find the current operating hours of your favorite Duke locations – the Link, dining, Duke Stores, Duke Gardens, etc.

  • Safety – Display information regarding any emergencies, or find out who to contact in an emergency.  Sign up to receive DukeALERT text messages.

  • Maps – Search for Duke buildings, map them out and see how close you are.

  • Giving – Give to Duke.

  • Events – Listing from the Events@Duke master calendar – add these events to your personal schedule.

  • News – Up-do-date news from Duke Today with opinions and information for faculty, staff and students.

  • MyDuke – Access a variety of Duke online services including DukeCard, Duke Libraries and more.

  • Library – Search through the catalog and even contact a librarian directly for additional information.

  • Athletics – Feed your inner Blue Devil with sports news, schedules, etc.

  • DukeHub – Access DukeHub and the course catalog directly from your mobile device.

  • Transportation – Look up bus schedules and track buses in real-time.

  • ePrint – Listing all stations on the campus-wide print networks.  Get individual printer statuses and a map of all available options so you can select the closest station.

  • Sakai – Access your courses on your mobile device.

  • Dining – Get information on all Duke dining options.

  • DukeCard – Check your balances and add money to your accounts through the MyDuke link.

  • Student Health – Access information from the Student Wellness Center.

  • 1st Year Checklist– A checklist for incoming students.

  • Flyers– Select a building location and see the flyers being displayed.

Services for Faculty/Staff

  • Scholars@Duke – Access to the Duke faculty directory

  • Research Administration – For use by Principal Investigators and Grant Managers to look up balance information.

  • Duke@Work – For use by Duke employees

How do I get it?

Android Users

Visit GooglePlay and search for the DukeMobile app.  You will be required to grant permission for DukeMoble to access the following on your device:  Contacts, Location, Photos/Media/Files, Storage and Network in order to complete the installation.

iPhone, iPad users

To install DukeMobile on your iOS device, visit the DukeMobile page in the iTunes App Store and click “Get App.” 

Please note:  when accessing Duke@Work, you will be prompted to enable access to Location Services and Contacts on your device for the application to work properly.
