Thomas Receives Commitment to Excellence Award

Congratulations to NaShonda Thomas on being recognized for her Commitment to Excellence. This staff recognition program celebrates staff who demonstrate the highest standards in their commitment to supporting our mission, vision and values. "I would like to nominate NaShonda Thomas for the Commitment to Excellence Award. NaShonda joined the CND team ~ two and a half years ago as a staff assistant. NaShonda was trained as a medical technician and for many years worked at the Duke Pain Clinic. NaShonda quickly adapted to her role in the CND/ simulation programs. Based on her past skills and knowledge, she was able to jump in and help with the set ups and break downs as well as the many moving parts that go into planning a CND skills or simulation events in the ABSN, MSN and NAP programs.

NaShonda is the face behind the scenes in many of the CND activities. While she is most times very quiet, she is very motivated with a strong work ethic and truly is a team player. She is always pleasant, kind and willing to help anyone who presents to the CND. The CND is very fortunate to have such a great person as a team member! Thank you NaShonda for all that you do each and every day!" ~ Michele Kuszajewski
