Training Opportunity on Inpatients with Dementia To Occur Next Month

An interprofessional training opportunity entitled "Addressing Malnutrition in Inpatients with Dementia" is being offered as a four- part series on February 3, 10, 17 and 24 from noon to 1 p.m. on Zoom. Attendants are asked to attend all four sessions.

Program Goals
• Understand the risk and incidence of malnutrition in patients with dementia in the hospital
• Describe and practice techniques to better care for people with dementia
• Foster interprofessional relationships and skills for effective teamwork
• Develop strategies to educate and support patients and caregivers

Program Details
• Open to learners in the nursing, physician assistant, and medical schools
• Led by a panel of educators from geriatrics, nutrition, speech language pathology, nursing, occupational

You may be assigned one hour of pre-session work each week.
