Transition from Intranet to New Faculty and Staff Webpage

Over the past few years, we have seen the need to expand the resources being made available to our faculty and staff on the main DUSON website nursing.duke.edu.  This demand has resulted in a cluttered and less user-friendly faculty and staff page.

At the same time, we’ve repeatedly heard from members of our faculty and staff who were traveling or working outside of the Duke network that accessing files stored on DUSONnet was oftentimes difficult and cumbersome. 

In an effort to make information and resources more convenient for everyone to access, we’ve relaunched the Faculty & Staff section of our website to combine all of the information that was previously found on DUSONnet with the information found on the main website.  

The new Faculty and Staff Resource Center is organized by subject area as a one-stop location to make finding information resources easier and more accessible. The page is also designed to be more user-friendly when visiting using a tablet or mobile device. Our dual authentication security process will protect sensitive information and documents previously found on the DUSONnet, while allowing those who are working remotely or traveling to be more efficient. 

Please remember that a link to the Faculty and Staff Resource Center can be found on the front page of the DUSON website. 

I invite you to spend a few minutes and do three things:

1. Visit the new Faculty & Staff page.
2. Familiarize yourself with the new page. It might be a good idea to bookmark this page for future use---if you will need to revisit it often.
3. Review any old bookmarks you may have from DUSONnet. If you have any, update them for the information you regularly use with the new locations on the main website.  

DUSONnet will remain active until April 3.  However, after that date, it will be deactivated.
