Vereen Promoted to Assistant Director of HR

Selnatta Vereen has been promoted to Assistant Director of Human Resources.

Selnatta is an important member of the DUSON Business Office. Selnatta has a significant role in supporting faculty and staff members' success through every stage of their employment with DUSON. Selnatta will continue to collaborate with DUSON managers to understand and assist with their HR needs and is the primary go-to person for filling vacant and new positions. Selnatta is the natural and highly qualified choice to become our first Assistant Director of HR.

Selnatta has been a higher education professional for over 20 years at Duke and has extensive experience in HR and payroll processes and procedures. She previously held management positions at Durham Public Schools and Marriott Corporation. Selnatta’s knowledge of academic administration and support, combined with her human resources expertise and knowledge of DUSON and our systems, positions her for great success leading the HR office.
