Virtual Speaker Series Kicks-Off July 28 with Diversity-Focused Session

BroomeThe Duke University School of Nursing Office of Development & Alumni Affairs is pleased to announce the launch of its first-ever virtual speaker series: Campus to Couch. The series is geared towards alumni, donors and friends and will feature School of Nursing leaders, faculty, students and alumni with each topic aimed to share important information and create thoughtful dialogue. Campus to Couch will run through the fall with scheduled talks happening each month.

The series begins on July 28 from 4 to 5 p.m., with a conversation about diversity as it pertains to the current climate across our country and how crucial it is to work with intent to diversify the nursing workforce. Dean Marion E. Broome will host the session, while Brigit Carter, associate dean for diversity and inclusion, and alum Connie Bishop, BSN'75, DNP'02, of N.C.
