Webb Featured Speaker at National Academies Webinar

michelle webb headshotMichelle Webb, assistant professor, was a featured speaker for The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s webinar "Caring for People with Serious Illness In the Home: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic" on February 16 from noon to 1:30 p.m. EST. The roundtable was a discussion to explore best practices and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic for caring for people with serious illness in the home setting. The event explored a range of issues including: providing palliative care and hospice care in the home, strategies to reach people with serious illness living in rural communities, including challenges and opportunities for telehealth. The webinar participants also explored policy considerations and integrated care delivery models to effectively deploy vital health care resources.
