Xu Submits Neural Analytics, Inc. Application

Kudos to Xiao Hu, professor, and his entire team for the submission of their subcontract application to Neural Analytics, Inc. on a DOD award entitled "A Prospective Non-Invasive Study of Cerebral Blood Flow Velocity Morphology for Quantification of Intracranial Pressure." This proposal requests funding for a one-year period with a start date of September 1.

Neural Analytics, Inc., (NA) is conducting research on Severe TBI Triage and Monitoring with Advanced Cerebral Hemodynamics under prime award W81XWH-17-2-0058 to classify and monitor elevated ICP using Neural Analytics’ developed advanced ultrasound analysis platform (qCH).

Neural Analytics PI, Dr. Robert Hamilton, will utilize the technical expertise of Dr. Xiao Hu to meet the objectives identified in the above-mentioned study. Specifically, Dr. Hu and Dr. Laskowitz will oversee the collection of data at Duke University in Durham, NC.  Duke University research staff will measure subjects with elevated ICP from injury, including severe TBI, both invasively with implanted monitors (current standard of care) and non-invasively with transcranial Doppler (TCD). Dr. Hu and Dr. Laskowitz will coordinate clinical work and provide patient access at Duke University and coordinate work with LTC Tyson Becker and San Antonio Military Medical Center (BAMC), the study’s other clinical site enrolling subjects in Cohort B an age-group matched control group.
