As a continual effort to support the U.S. healthcare industry and alleviate the ongoing nursing shortage, HospitalCareers.com provides one of the most highly regarded annual nursing scholarships which is available to nurses of all specialties. Scholarship winners are chosen once every year in the month of August, which coincides with the beginning of each Fall semester, and in the month of February, which coincides with the beginning of each Spring semester.
Applicants who submit all paperwork and follow the application process accordingly, during any annual submission, will also be considered for the following semester as well (365 days). However, no applicant will ever be awarded more than one scholarship per lifetime. Please, only one submission is needed per applicant and you may be notified during the consideration process if you are selected as a finalist for a short phone based interview.
Each scholarship winner will be made public through various public channels and outlets including, but not limited to, social media, press announcements (local and national), and any other public channel or outlet deemed appropriate, necessary, and relevant to HospitalCareers. Please note, applicants do not have a say as to which, nor how many, public channels are used and are susceptible to change each submission year. This scholarship is given based on multiple variables, including the applicant's need, academic excellence, ongoing perseverance, individual circumstances, the desire to help others, and HospitalCareers opinion regarding all areas evaluated.
Scholarship Eligibility:
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at a regionally or nationally accredited Institution and be pursing a degree in nursing or nursing specialty, with a minimum of 30 completed credit hours.
Application Deadline
- August 1 (annually - Fall semester)
- February 15 (annually - Spring semester)
Requirements:
- Most recent transcripts (copies are fine)
- One page essay describing yourself, what motivates you, and your ultimate goals (long term & short term)
- Updated resume (Word or PDF)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Minimum of 30 completed credit hours
- Consent to digital photo/image and a short quote (displayed for award winners)
How to Apply:
- Please download Application Form and complete all detailed requirements. If requirements are not provided prior to the submission deadline, you will not be considered for that year.
