Gale Adcock, North Carolina House representative and Health Committee member, has announced that she will serve as NC House Democrats’ Deputy Leader for the 2021-22 legislative session. Adcock was an active member of the DUSON 2020 Board of Visitors. 

She has spent 33 years as a nurse practitioner and leader in health care advocacy and said, as Deputy Leader, she will champion legislation to support our rural hospitals and bring affordable health insurance to North Carolinians who fall in the coverage gap.

House Democratic Leader Robert Reives’ appointed her to this position.
