Kelly Lisenbee, DNP'12 and former DUSON adjunct faculty, passed away on February 20 at the age of 52. She was commemorated in the article "Remembering Kelly Lisenbee During National Nurses Week" by Julie Poucher Harbin for Duke Cancer Institute's website. Lisenbee worked at Duke Raleigh and at Duke University Hospital. In 2017 to 18, she was accepted into the Duke-Johnson and Johnson Nurse Leadership Program, which is run by the Duke University School of Medicine Division of Family Medicine & Community Health to prepares APNs and their interprofessional teams to transform their practices and create improved health within their communities. Her focus area for the fellowship was oncology care in underserved areas. She was also engaged in research.
