edl application flyerCommitted to dismantling systemic racism and cultivating inclusion, equity and justice, the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Nursing Issues (IRGNI) created the emerging diversity leaders (EDL) program.

Purpose:
To establish a diverse* cadre of health services researchers that will 1) establish active careers in science and academic nursing and 2) contribute to reducing and ultimately eliminating health disparities.

Vision:
As a nationally recognized coaching and mentoring program, we transform health services research, nursing education and practice to advance health for all.

Mission in Action:
By creating safe mentoring spaces, providing opportunities for self-examination, and teaching practical leadership skills, the EDL program empowers undergraduate and graduate students to take on leadership roles and realize their full potential within IRGNI, their home institutions, and beyond.

Meeting Frequency: Bi-Monthly
