Attend Science & Society Dinner Dialogues

Science & Society has officially launched a new program that aims to pair Duke undergraduates, graduates, postdocs, and researchers with Duke faculty from around campus over dinner or dessert in their home.

S&S Dinner Dialogues are informal opportunities for the Duke community to come together over a meal and participate in engaging, probing, and timely conversation about the ethical and societal implications of scientific and technological progress.

Attendance is limited due to the intimate nature of the dinners and group size will vary depending on the particular faculty host. In order to cultivate a rich experience, S&S staff will take care to select participants with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, professional interests, and areas of study. In addition, priority will be given to participants who have not yet attended an S&S Dinner Dialogue before and who can explain their particular interest in the topic and faculty host.
