DUHS Seeks Volunteers for COVID Vaccine Clinics

DUHS leadership has expressed how grateful they are to all DUSON volunteers who have staffed the employee and community vaccine clinics during the past three weeks. In December, our faculty, staff and student volunteers worked a total of 21 vaccine clinic shifts and 25 so far in January!

The need for volunteers to serve in RN and non-RN roles is growing significantly, since Duke is continuing to ramp up vaccine clinics in both the Durham and Raleigh communities. Large scale vaccinations will continue at Duke for many months to come.

DUHS has created a new staffing system for volunteers to ensure staffing consistency at locations. They have asked that all faculty and staff who are currently volunteering or those who are interested in volunteering in the future complete this brief online form specifying a volunteer vaccination clinic location. If you are non-licensed, you can specify “other."

Those interested will be contacted by DUHS to learn more detail about the various roles and clinic schedules.
