Four nursing students who developed an independent study to learn more about emergency nursing organized a splinting in-service for 20 of their peers. An Ortho-glass product representative, Mark Craven, brought all necessary supplies and provided the training. Students learned how to make several splints and were able to practice applying a custom made fiberglass wrist splint to a peer. Students who hosted the event were: Courtney Justus, Sarah Matzdorf, Samantha Goodman and Jeri Walkow. Donna Biederman, associate professor, was their faculty for the independent study.
