DUSON Holds Gardening Workshop with Duke Gardens

gardening workshop screenshotDUSON recently held a webinar in conjunction with Duke Gardens. This activity was connected to DUSON's status as a partner in the Nurses Climate Challenge.

The webinar focused on how the health of our environment influences human health and how climate change is impacting both. Then, Duke Gardens staff described how we can use gardening to mitigate those negative effects. Participants left with some practical tips and resources for their own spring gardens.

Involved from DUSON were Alicia Gibbs, MSN student, Alex Seacrest, division program coordinator, and AnnMarie Walton, assistant professor.

A recording is available online. Additional resources can be found on the Duke Gardens website. Those interested can fill out a voluntary and confidential post-webinar survey
