DUSON Wellness: Mobile Market, Strength Classes and More!
MOBILE MARKET COMES TO DUSON
We are excited to announce the newest location of the Duke Mobile Market right here at DUSON! What is the Mobile Market? This is a way to “subscribe” to a farm for a growing season in exchange for a fresh box of local produce delivered to DUSON every Tuesday. Register and learn more here and contact Cassandra.Callas@duke.edu with any questions.
DUSON STRONG TOURS TANZANIA
Join DUSON in meeting our goal of becoming the healthiest school of nursing in the nation. It’s not too late to join this spring’s Tour of Tanzania – a 1,062.9-mile virtual race around Tanzania! We will visit several Global Academic and Clinical Sites from March 1 – March 31.
STRENGTH CLASSES
Strength classes are every Thursday at DUSON! Christian Kennicott, Fitness Specialist for LIVE FOR LIFE, will be leading an all-levels, full-body strength workout on Thursdays from 4:30 until 5:15 p.m. in Pearson 1011. Register here.
RELAXATION ROOM
Thursday, March 8 from 2-4 p.m., come and ease your mind in the relaxation room. Taking intentional breaks can help sustain energy, enhance mood and improve your ability to cope with challenges. Visit Pearson 3103 to enjoy mandala coloring, essential oils, brain teasers and relaxing sounds and scenes.
NO YOGA THIS WEEK
In lieu of the Core Values Survey: Report of Findings to the Community Event, yoga will not take place March 6.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
- The Duke Run/Walk Club begins March 12! Join groups from beginner walkers all the way to advanced runners at two convenient sites at Duke, or participate independently and log your exercise to earn LIVE FOR LIFE dollars. Register now!
- Participate in the Prayer Labyrinth at the Duke Chapel on March 6 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Labyrinth, a 40-foot circle containing a winding path, is an ancient spiritual tradition in many faiths. The Labyrinth is self-guided and takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete.
