Dan Hatch, biostatistician III, won “Best Poster” on April 30 at the recent Duke Industry Statistics Symposium.

The title of the poster was: “Analysis of a Stepped Wedge Cluster Randomized Implementation Science Trial to Improve CHG Bathing Compliance."

Purpose statement: “This study assessed the effect of a multifaceted implementation program on nursing staff compliance with CHG bathing process and electronic health record (EHR) documentation, nursing staff knowledge and perceptions, and CLABSI rates. To do this, we used generalized linear mixed models (GLMM) applicable to testing intervention effects in cross-sectional stepped wedge designs.”

Findings from the poster were conducted in collaboration with Staci Reynolds, assistant professor, and Bradi Granger, professor.
