Health Equity Virtual Workshop to Occur on July 27

A workshop titled "Leveraging the Power of Nurses: Promoting Health Equity through a Framework of Cultural Humility" will occur virtually on July 27 from 3 to 4 p.m.

This webinar is part of a series by the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action to support nurses in their ongoing effort to improve health for all and reduce racial disparities in the United States. The webinar will define cultural humility, which gives a greater understanding of other cultures, describe the history and evolution of its framework in health care, and examine the impact nurses can make in promoting health equity. Kupiri Ackerman-Barger from University of California Davis, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, will present.

Backed by AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action is transforming health and health care through nursing and building a healthier America.
