Howard Receives HRSA Award for Loan Program
<p>Congratulations to Dr. Valerie Howard, associate dean for Academic Affairs, and her team on her recent HRSA award for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) for $1,198,473.00. The purpose of this program is to increase the number of qualified nursing faculty by operating a student loan fund to support DNP and MSN education majors. Upon completion of up to four years of full-time employment as a nurse faculty member in an accredited school of nursing, students can apply to have up to 85 percent of any such loan (plus interest) canceled.</p>
