Maryellen Kelly, assistant professor, was presented with the Judy Thibadeau Award from the Spina Bifida Association of America. This inaugural award is presented to a nurse who has made outstanding and significant contributions to improve the lives of people with spina bifida. Recipients are nurses who provide: skillful and compassionate care for people with spina bifida; strengthen care for people with spina bifida through outstanding, meaningful and lasting contributions; advocate strongly for people with spina bifida; possess a creative and pioneering spirit; and lead and implement a body of research for people with spina bifida.
