The MSN Program has been awarded The Nurse Practitioner Substance Use Disorder Medical Education Grant. This one-year grant will provide MSN students at Duke with free training and CEU’s to prepare for screening, diagnosis, treatment and effective management of patients across the lifespan with substance use disorder. The grant comes from a partnership between American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and is funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). DUSON was one of 12 schools across the nation to be awarded the education grant opportunity.
