New Student Success Center Opens In Time For Fall Semester
The Student Success Center aims to promote mental health, provide emotional support, and connect students to resources at Duke and beyond. The Center is co-led by Brandon Knettel, assistant professor and licensed psychologist, and Sean Convoy, assistant professor and lead faculty in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
For the fall 2020 semester, Knettel will be available for on-campus consultations two days per week in the Pearson Building Room 1013 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will have additional virtual hours for meetings on Zoom. Meetings may include conversations about stress management, academics, interpersonal challenges, mental health and well-being, or other forms of stress. Convoy will offer additional workshops on mental health promotion and resilience training delivered across our community.
To schedule a meeting, you can call 919-684-9416, drop in during office hours, email Student_Success@duke.edu or visit the Student Success Center website.
