Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) introduces its new video series entitled "DUSON 360." The series is a 360-degree perspective of DUSON's innovative work in education, research, clinical practice, community health improvement, global health and people and environment.

In this first DUSON 360 segment entitled "NIH Grant," Elizabeth "Beth" Merwin, PhD, RN, FAAN, Ann Henshaw Gardiner Professor of Nursing and executive vice dean of the School of Nursing, discusses how her team will use their recent National Institutes of Health research grant award of nearly $3 million dollars to conduct research that can reduce health disparities for individuals under the age of 65 who are eligible for Medicare due to disability and mental illness.
