From the Office of Global and Community Health Initiatives...

Effective today, July 14, 2016, Duke University has placed a travel restriction on the city of Gondar Ethiopia. Over the last twenty four hours, we’ve seen a spike in violent protests that warranted this change.  Below is the latest alert from International SOS for your information.

We have been in touch with Duke travelers in the city and are working with them to vacate the area.  If you are aware of other travelers in Gondar, let Christy P. Michels (christy.parrish@duke.edu) and/or Chris Boroski (Chris.boroski@duke.edu) know as soon as possible.
